Demetri walked into the Leaky Cauldron slowly, as if every step were painful. He was scared, for the first time. After Isaac had found out about Demetri dating his sister, he needed to get his message across. He took a seat at a lone table in the corner. Before the bartender had a chance to even come, someone sat across from him. Demetri smiled weakly towards the person staring at him, his heart surprisngly calm.

Isaac sat down across from the Hogwarts potions professor, setting down his glass of red wine on the table. He would have Quidditch practice soon, so this conversation would have to be brief. At least only five more games remained in the season for Ireland, and they were well-spaced out, the last on the first of August. Which would leave more than enough time for his and Gabriella's wedding. "Um, hi," said Isaac a bit awkwardly.

Demetri nodded respectfully towards Isaac. "Good afternoon Isaac." he replied, staying in formality as a older wizard passed them. Once he was past, Demetri allowed himself to relax. "You know I mean your sister no harm. I love her, as do you." he replied softly. He wanted to make sure Isaac knew he loved Safira just as much as her brother loved her. "I just want her to be happy. Since you are close to your sister however, I would like your approval before moving forward." he finished. He felt as if he were asking a father for his daughter's hand, but he contained the thought.

Isaac drank a deep sip of wine as Demetri spoke, allowing himself to take in the bitter flavour. He enjoyed wines, he had developed quite the taste for them since becoming a vampire. He absently twisted the ring on his right index finger, the one that protected him in sunlight, trying to figure out how he would respond. "You do not need to ask my permission," said Isaac. "Because Safira will do what she damn well pleases regardless of what I say. I'm just not certain that I find your relationship... Appropriate. That being said, go straight ahead with your relations, just know that if you hurt her, you'll have me to deal with."
